"Get ready to ride into the heart of Maritime memories! 🎸
'Frieze and Roy,' is a kitchen party tribute to the ship building legacy of Maitland, Nova Scotia, and the legacy of Canada's oldest General Store..
It all started a few summers ago when The Hippy and The Biker's trip to Maitland was waylaid by torrential rains that wiped out the roads. Stranded in this charming coastal town, they played not one, but TWO shows at Frieze & Roy's place – the second one being an impromptu bash that got everyone dancing and singing along!
The following summer, they returned to celebrate the birthday of the oldest general store in Canada, and the inspiration for 'Frieze and Roy' was born. This song weaves tales of the sea, the shipbuilders of old, and the unforgettable people and moments that make Maitland so special.
Recorded at Bflat Studio with an all-star lineup:
Geoff Eyre - drums
Bill Fulton - bass
Jennie Bice - fiddle
Kyle Axford - trumpet, accordion, bodhran
Jeff Bonner - guitar, vocals
Join us on this musical journey into the heart of Maritime history and friendship. 'Frieze and Roy' by The Tractorgrease Folk will be streaming soon!!!
